Magazine front cover ideas

Here are three mock ups for the front cover of our magazine front covers. They will all be subject to change depending on what looks better during production.

Filming Progress Report 3

Later in the week we were able to obtain our night shoot. We found this particularly challenging as getting the correct light and making sure that we used the torches strategically as we only had so much battery life in the torches. We were able to overcome this by planning the shots that we were trying to create. Although the time spent shooting this time was short, we were able to achieve much more as our plan was already sorted.

Filming Progress Report 2

This week we decided to use our quarry location. We began by shooting in the day getting some establishing shots of the location which will hopefully appear near the beginning of our trailer. After this we decided to get some more shots of the four of us. Also we were able to plan what type of shots we would try to capture during our night shoot. As well as this we did our first shot with the Slenderman with him emerging from the bushes. We felt that at first, this shot was very effective as it was the type of long shot that would generically appear within the phycological horror genre.

Filming Progress Report 1

This week we had a productive filming session in which we were able to obtain our first scene and also a variety of other shots within our Fox's Forrest location. For our first scene we decided it would be best to try it in a few different locations with different camera techniques (e.g. Wide shot and point of view). We started off in the cafe but found it difficult to get a shot that didn't have some level of interference with it. This included background sound and random members of the public accidentally getting into our shot. After this we decided to shoot in a local library which actually worked to our advantage as we had a lot of free space to ourselves with no background noise. We will have to decide when editing which of the takes to use. With the rest of the filming in the Forrest we decided that it would be more viable for us to get as many different shots of us doing different things. This is because it ensures that we have a wide selection of footage that we can choose to go into our final edit. Furthermore enabling us to only choose the best shots for the finished trailer.
