Location idea's

This is an abandoned military bunker concealed in a forest in Portsmouth.

This is a former youth hostel called Wymmering Manor. It has been on Most Haunted so would be an deal location.

This location has taken a preference. It is an abandoned house in a quarry outside Petersfield and has ideal qualities for our trailer.

This is Queen Elizabeth country park, a huge forest outside Portsmouth. It would be a suitable location as it is vast and easy to find a deserted area to film. In addition,  we would be filming in the Winter months so all the trees would be bare, like the picture above, which can be more beneficial for the trailer.

This is a church in a village outside Petersfield, called Buriton. For a few shots in the Trailer this can be very effective.

Here is some of our analysis conducted about Todorov's theory related to The Shining and The Others. In these scripts we explore how Todorov's Theory of Equilibrium effects the framework of the majority of mainstream genres. However, as we've explored, the theory doesn't always relate to the horror genre.

Slender Suits - The Documentary of Slender Man

The Slender Man is our inspiration for plot 2. Here is a documentary on him to provide us with a valuable account of information on The Slender Man.

Our trailer could be done in a point of view style like they have done in the blair witch project.

Genre: Phycological thriller 

locations: Peteresfield quarry, Fox's Forrest, Wymmering mannor, QE park, Buriton.

Plot 1:

Group of boys plan to go on a hike. Day starts off well but as the day goes on things begin to go wrong. The boys get lost and when they check on their map the area they are in does not exist. their compass doesen't work and they begin to see things.

Plot 2: 

A class of A level students go on a school trip. A group of guys have heard a story about the slender man that creeps in the woods looking for children. this intrigues the guys and they leave the group to explore but things start to go wrong as they realize the Slender man is not a myth.
